Mason Eve

Teaching Artist (Mural Making)

Mason Eve is a Brooklyn based artist, designer, and art educator. She views art as a powerful tool for healing, freedom, and social change. Her personal work explores nostalgia and interpersonal relationships, focusing on the in-person energy that both binds and excites us in an increasingly digital world.

Mason Eve loves collaborating with brands to bring their concept ideas to life through bold, vibrant, eye-catching illustrations & murals.

She received her BA from Smith College where she pursued an individualized concentration in US Race Relations & Social Justice with a minor in Studio Art.

 

Rasheedat “Ras” Badejo

Teaching Artist (Theater)

Rasheedat “Ras” Badejo is generative theatre artist born and raised in Kansas City. They received a BA in Theatrical Performance from UMKC in 2015. Ras has had the pleasure of working with many theatre companies in KC like Kansas City Actors Theatre, Kansas City Rep, the Unicorn Theatre, The Coterie, Fishtank Theatre, The Black Repertory Theatre of Kansas City, and The One-Minute-Play Festival in positions ranging from crewing and stage managing to acting, directing, and playwrighting. They are also a teaching artist for the Kansas City Repertory Theatre's Summer Youth Theatre Ensemble. Ras has been a teaching artist with The Coterie since the summer of 2016, and loves empowering children and teens through art.

 

Nefeli Asariotaki

Teaching Artist (Clay Making/Sculpture)

Born in Athens, Greece, Nefeli Asariotaki is an artist and educator based between Athens and Brooklyn. She completed her BFA at Pratt Institute, and she is currently completing her MFA at SVA. Nefeli works in a variety of media, including but not limited to sculpture, video, performance, and multimedia installation. Nefeli’s work revolves around issues of displacement, borders, racism, and state power. She aims to create work that sparks constructive discussions, pushes conceptual and institutional boundaries by creating spaces where questioning constructs becomes the sole purpose.

Zhada Myrick

Teaching Artist (Dance)

Zhada Myrick proudly hails from Brooklyn, NY where her passion for dance was sparked through her elementary afterschool program. She later trained under Carol Lonnie at Charles Moore Dance Theater and with Jamel Gaines’ Creative Outlet Dance Theatre. She also studied at The Ailey School through their partnership with Professional Performing Arts High School. Zhada continued her dance education by completing a B.F.A in Dance Performance and Choreography with a track in Pre-K-12 education from Towson University as well as a M.F.A in dance from Hollins University. She has trained and performed worldwide in places such as Berlin, Guinea, and Bermuda. She's taught classes that cater to all age groups with various skill levels ranging from beginner to professional. Zhada is currently pursuing a PhD in Dance at Temple University with a focus on dance as a method of restorative practice for communities of the African Diaspora to aid in healing from trauma caused by systemic racism and oppression.
